[Edit]A pioneering French producer and DJ, Etienne de Crécy kicks off 2015 with the third episode in his expansive, decades-spanning Super Discount series. Filled with funk, house, and techno, this thrilling collection includes contributions from frequent collaborators Alex Gopher and Julien Delfaud. On “Wtf,” he works with De La Soul’s Pos and Dave for an aerodynamic slice of chilled, retro-futurist disco that recalls the recent work of his contemporaries in Daft Punk. Elsewhere, “You” sees de Crécy utilizing the feline vocals of Cults' Madeline Follin for a neon-lit groove that’s rich in both style and substance.
