Same old story, different band: boy develops a crush on a girl, girl goes for the captain of the football team, captain of the football team kicks sand in the boys face, boy has his heart ripped out and decides to write a song about it. Thus, the story of Dynamite Boy continues: perpetually bored, girlfriend-less, and still feeling the traumas from high school. Somewhere in America could potentially hit close to home for every high school suburbanite who yet has to build up the courage to deliver a valentine to that special someone. To top it off with some of the catchiest pop-punk riffs this side of Green Day (Kerplunk era), the Alkaline Trio, and the Parasites, Dynamite Boy should not be lumped into the category of "generic pop-punk" — especially with their secret bonus cover of They Might Be Giants' "Welcome to the Jungle Gym."
