[Edit]The liquid funk and hypnotic beats of Duran Y Garcia are showcased on the full-length Encantado!. The duo's take on techno is more organic and instrument based, and this is no exception, as the percussion tends to stem from tribal drumming and African-influenced bongos while the music comes from guitar and synthesizer more than samples and computers. This is still techno music, thus the music still relies on repetition and droning music clips to get by, something that does keep the album from truly being great. The next step for this group is to try to throw some variety into the mix, but until then they are simply a reliable techno group that creates dance-friendly music that does not translate to the home stereo as well.
