Details
[Edit]This budget CD reissues 11 of the 13 selections recorded by Duke Ellington's orchestra in late 1946 (leaving out the classic "Tulip or Turnip" and "Overture to a Jam Session"), substituting later versions of "Satin Doll" and the untraceable "Glory" for some odd reason. The music is strong even if the packaging and irrelevant liner notes are not.
