The legendary Dorothy Norwood has been performing for over 40 years, sharing the stage with a number of musical icons, including rock superstars the Rolling Stones. This live set finds Norwood joined by a few of her "friends." Popular gospel vocalist Rance Allen renders a sterling performance, as he teams with Norwood on the soul-stirring "I Bind You Up (Matthew 16:19), Pts. I & II." Melvin Williams, a member of the gospel group the Williams Brothers, joins Norwood on the upbeat toe-tappers "Will You Meet Me There (aka Grandma's Song)" and "Don't Give Up," with Rance Allen coming back to join them on the latter. Long recognized as one of gospel music's leading storytellers, Norwood shows why she has earned that distinction through her narration of "World Trade Center Miracle." Also included is a guest vocal appearance from gospel great Albertina Walker, as she joins Norwood on the traditional-tinged "Till We Meet Again." ~ Tim A. Smith, Rovi
