It's appropriate that this compilation—what amounts to Diplo's greatest hits of the last few years—would be released 10 years after the superstar DJ's studio debut, Florida. In the last decade, the man born Thomas Wesley Pentz has conquered club music by defacing it, subjecting it to a kind of shock treatment that consists of heavy doses of bass music from around the world, from Brazil to Miami to India. Included here are the wily bass blasts of the dancefloor destroyer "Express Yourself," the serrated trap-EDM hybrid "Revolution," and "TECHNO," featuring Waka Flocka Flame, which is that particular genre of dance music literally in name only. Few producers have mastered the art of sensory overload like Diplo.
