Dean Evenson is a very spiritual and multi-talented man. He collaborated with Cha-Das-Ska-Dum on Native Healing. Cha-Das-Ska-Dum performed and recorded his pieces over the last 22 months of his life; he died on August 17, 2000. Evenson and Cha-Das-Ska-Dum's family and friends constructed these soundscapes and atmospheres around his chants and percussion. This is a deep and sacred album. It will appeal to fans of R. Carlos Nakai, Douglas Spotted Eagle, and Robert Tree Cody.
