Toop's second solo ambient work builds on the eclecticism of his earlier material, adding challenging blasts of experimental jazz and non-Western percussion, narration, and field recordings to sound collages that regularly court the unclassifiable in scope and affect. The more club-derived elements of his earlier Screen Ceremonies are largely absent here, replaced by more spread-out, encompassing sounds and arrangements. Daring and accomplished.
