[Edit]Daria is a jazz vocalist with a very appealing voice who is based in Northern California. Her debut recording is an EP, a fairly brief five-song CD that shows what she can do. Daria contributed one original, "Japanese Love Affair," and uplifts four underrated standards while being assisted by top local musicians (including flugelhornist Dmitri Matheny). The singer's improvisations are subtle, sensuous, and creative. An enterprising jazz record label would be wise to sign Daria up.
