Although Comin Correct is ostensibly a side project for Rick Healy (aka Ricktalife) of 25 Ta Life, the group's second outing is a serious and heartfelt record that is simply too good to be relegated as a secondary pursuit. This has a lot to do with the several tracks devoted to Healey's recently deceased father, whose picture graces the back of the jewel case. Healey shares the therapeutic value of music through a duet with Skarhead singer Lord Ezec, who also lost his dad prior to the release of In Memory Of, on "Whoever Told You, Life Was Fair." Even forgetting the emotional subject matter that inspired much of the disc, the album's gritty yet positive New York hardcore sound invokes the furious bombast of Agnostic Front and Sick of It All, mixing tempos and gang choruses to perfection. Dad would have been proud. ~ Brian O'Neill, Rovi
