[Edit]Actually this was first issued as a tape in 1984, and then on vinyl in 1986. It's not the most outstanding of their efforts, but it's a reasonably solid survey of their combination of savvy pop melodies with idiosyncratically English weirdness. "Song for Syd Barrett" isn't the only thing here reminiscent of Television Personalities, but Newell crafts a more diverse sound, using touches of glockenspiel, drum machine, sleighbells, and even a saucepan to embellish the guitar-rock core.
