[Edit]This splendid reissue by accordionist/singing-cowboy Castro, a big star in his time, has Mexican-style corridos and rancheras as well as a paseo. He also plays several local Colombian merengues (a 6/8 rhythm very different from the Dominican version). Most cuts are backed by his accordion with scraper and bass, in an earlier version of vallenato.
