[Edit]Centurian's second album is a straightforward blast of nonstop, full-speed satanic death metal with no frills or fancy stuff. This is the kind of album that, on one hand, doesn't offer anything totally new or out of the ordinary but, on the other hand, is still quite solid and well done. There's no faulting the production, the musicianship, or the vocals (that is, as long as the listener is familiar with the death metal genre), and several of the performances (such as the wonderfully titled "Ritually Slaughtered for Satan") just plain smoke. Sure, it can be frustrating to hear some of the formulaic moves (lyrically and musically) that the band falls back on at times, but when the results are as gratifying as a lot of this album is, it's better to just sit back and enjoy.
