Russian dance-pop artist Car Man integrates futuristic ideals into carefree dance music on Back to Future, an album that seems to derive its central theme from the popular '80s Hollywood film. Conceptualism aside, there's plenty to savor here, particularly for anyone who loves rousing dance-pop. Each of the album's ten songs feature energetic dance music comprised largely of synthesizer melodies, riffs, and beats. However, as generic as the music may seem, derived partly from the late-'90s Euro trance movement, Car Man's vocals are what makes this album most interesting. There aren't many moments when he isn't singing, except for the occasional post-chorus bridge or late-song snare drum buildup. There are plenty of sing-along hooks in every song, making this more radio than club music.
