On their fifth album, the Puerto Rican hip-hop duo Calle 13 leave behind party-ready reggaeton to wage a war against misinformation. MultiViral’s blazing title track is built around an impassioned chant from Palestinian singer Kamilya Jubran, a headbanging riff by Tom Morello, and a spoken-word bit by WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange. “El Aguante” opens with a single Celtic flute and builds to an explosive rock anthem with a banjo, accordion, and literal banging on a table. The tempo slows on "Ojos Color Sol,” where band member René Pérez and Cuban folk musician Silvio Rodríguez trade verses against a delicate string arrangement, proving that love has its place in the world, too.
