This interesting LP features radio appearances by the Boyd Raeburn Orchestra taken from five occasions dating from a seven-week period. Highlights include "A Night in Tunisia," "Boyd Meets Girl," "The Hep Boyd," "Bagdad" and an advanced arrangement behind singer David Allyn on "Who Started Love." Unfortunately the personnel is not given but it includes trumpeter Tommy Allison, trombonist Trummy Young on the June 19 session, either Johnny Bothwell or Hal McKusick on altos and tenor saxophonist Frankie Socolow. The music is often quite intriguing for this was an orchestra that really took chances.
