Finally! Craving fans have been awaiting Blanks '77's first full-length after being teased with EPs, split singles and comp tracks for years. Typical three-chord, snotty drunk punk can be found on Killer Blanks, not to mention all the street-punk and oi! overtones. This is a good thing, though. Blanks '77's sound pays tribute to early Brit-punk from the likes of the Exploited, the Business and the Sex Pistols, among others. So not only are these guys finally recreating a style that's being done right in the '90s, but they're also introducing the earlier, influential history of punk to a younger audience. The only drawback is that a majority of this material has been previously released, making this more of a compilation rather than a brand new record. But regardless of a lack of newer material, Killer Blanks provides a pogoing, drunk punk soundtrack that few bands can pull off without sounding redundant.
