Now it's progressive bassist and programmer Bill Laswell's turn to take a whack at Celtic music. Here he tinkers with pieces by Jerry O'Sullivan, Solas, Karan Casey, Cathie Ryan and Matt Molloy, but nothing too revolutionary occurs. The reconstruction of Irish music? Perhaps, but it's been done to varying degrees by Tartan Amoebas, Martyn Bennett, Paul Mounsey, Dagda, Shooglenifty, Afro Celt Sound System and others, only years earlier.
