Compared to Apulanta's earlier recordings, Aivan Kuten Kaikki Muutkin is remarkably more produced and polished, which is no wonder considering the band's success up to that point: Kolme was a total success and Apulanta's fans yearned for more. Apulanta had been a noisy punk rock band, so the contrast between its history and the music of Aivan Kuten Kaikki Muutkin might initially have been disturbing, but listening to the album in its entirety shows that Apulanta had taken its angst rock to a whole new level. Songs like "007" (better known as "Teit Meistä Kauniin") and "0010" work mostly as teenagers' anthems, but the heavy guitar wall and impressive choruses make them sound really good anyway. Vocalist/guitarist Toni Wirtanen doesn't devolve into clichés, and instead turns teenage angst into a really charming thing. His lyrics might have something to do with it, because they differ a lot from Wirtanen's contemporaries in this genre. Aivan Kuten Kaikki Muutkin is a big highlight in Apulanta's career. Even though the contrast with Kolme might be a bit distracting, Aivan Kuten Kaikki Muutkin is a perfect success, both artistically and commercially. ~ Antti J. Ravelin, Rovi
