[Edit]After 2008's children's album Enfantillages and 2010 collection J'ai 10 Ans, everyman singer/songwriter Guillaume Aldebert goes back to basics on his sixth studio effort, Les Meilleurs Amis. Its 13 nostalgic Parisian pop tracks showcase his simplistic but poetic take on childhood ("Les Coups de Pieds a la Lune"), love ("Trop Belle Pour Moi"), and friendship ("Les Petites Amourettes"), alongside the humorous "Ma Vie a l'Envers" and the more serious "Mon Homonyme," a collaboration with Debout Sur le Zinc's Simon Mimoun that deals with the issue of homophobia. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
