Details

[Edit]

Although he hardly looked the part of a big star singer and songwriter, Neil Sedaka wrote sharp, melodic pop songs (over 500 of them, actually, in a nearly six-decade career) dealing with the travails and joys of falling in love which were often geared at the teen market but still managed to have enough depth and substance to work in larger listening circles. Many artists had hits with his songs, and his own versions and his own hits revealed a polished recording and arranging pro. This two-disc set collects the A- & B-sides of every single he released for Cadence, Decca, and other labels between 1956 and 1962 before signing with RCA Records.
